Why are brownies so delicious? So chocolatey, fudgy, and delicious. They make me happy every time, I say it’s love at every first bite. Made with cacao, chocolate chips, and chopped chocolate. If I was to choose between a thick slice of chocolate cake and a chocolate brownie, a brownie would win every time. This brownie recipe is a work in progress, my first ever brownie experiment.
Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
- 150 g baking chocolate
- ¼ cup cup butter
- 2 tsp vanilla essence or 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup cacao
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 3 egg whites whisked until thick
- ¼ cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
- Add chocolate and butter to a bowl and microwave until the chocolate has melted.
- Mix in the vanilla essence.
- Add the cacao, salt, sugar and combine.
- Add flour and mix.
- Fold in the egg whites until combined.
- Fold in the chopped chocolate.
- Pour the batter into an oiled baking pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool.
